Discovering unique places: the Val d'Orcia, with Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano and the legendary world-renowned cypress avenues.
Day 1

Day 1

Versilia, Mon Amour

The countryside is beautiful and relaxing.
Do you prefer the allure of the sea, though?
Don't worry, in just over an hour from our campsite you can reach the coast, and what a coast!
You can take a nice tour of the Tuscan Coast from north to south, starting in Versilia and then going down along the Etruscan Coast and beyond, all the way to the border with the Argentario.

Ready, steady, go: it's off to Versilia!
Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio, Lido di Camaiore: just by saying these names, you get an irresistible urge for sun, sea and social life, don't you?
  • Relax on the golden beaches of the most popular beach resorts;
  • walk on the shopping streets of Forte dei Marmi;
  • visit the marble quarries of Carrara;
  • enjoy the view from the wooden boardwalk that skirts Lake Massaciuccoli;
  • dive into the 1970s atmosphere that reigns supreme here.
Crowded beach with umbrellas, pools, and mountains in the background.
Day 2

Day 2

Etruscan Coast: Wild Living

Now that you've had your share of worldliness, it's time to head for "wilder" shores: to the Etruscan Coast!

Between land and sea, from the golden beaches to the verdant hills dotted with ancient villages with winding alleys, this stretch of Tuscany is evocative and unspoiled. It is brimming with stunning natural beauty, breathtaking scenery, good food and great wines.

Start exploring it from Marina di Bibbona: spend a couple of hours on its sandy beaches and, when happy hour rolls around, treat yourself to a glass of Bolgheri DOC.

Then, travel to San Vincenzo and follow the picturesque Sailor's Walk.
On one side is the view of the town, of the mountains and of moored boats; on the other is the open sea.
Aerial view of a coast with houses and boats in a bay.
Day 3

Day 3

Back to real Tuscany

How does the common saying go?
"Hurray ..., it hangs and hangs but it always stands up!"
It is mythical, it is world famous, everyone knows it: it is the Tower of Pisa!
A must-see stop on any proper Tuscan tour, it alone is worth the trip. However, visiting the other architectural gems that make up the famous Piazza dei Miracoli makes a trip to Pisa even better:
  • The Baptistery
  • The Cathedral
  • The Monumental Graveyard
Leaning Tower of Pisa and Pisa Cathedral on a sunny day.
Day 4

Day 4

Spa Time: Thermal Baths & More

After 3 days of wandering, nothing beats a day at the spa to get some rest.

In the vicinity of our campsite, you can choose from 3 TOP destinations:

Bagno Vignoni

Nestled in the authentic heart of the Val d'Orcia, it is famous for the town's unique main square, occupied almost entirely by a pool of thermal water. Although it is a small hamlet in the municipality of San Quirico d'Orcia, this thermal resort is undoubtedly a favorite destination for those who want to spend a weekend out of town combining wellness and stunning sights.

Rapolano Terme

A little gem set in the heart of the Crete Senesi, perfect for an intimate and relaxing wellness break.
There are 2 spas:
  • at Terme Antica Querciolaia, you can relax in the therapeutic pools or treat yourself to a detoxifying body treatment (the relaxing thermal bath with clay salts is very interesting);
  • at Terme San Giovanni, you can relax in the heart of the beautiful 20-hectare park, before undergoing inhalation therapies or thermal mud treatments.

Saturnia

For 3,000 years, Italy's most famous spring has been the undisputed queen of the national thermal scene.
Experience authentic wellness in Saturnia!
  • Lose yourself in this miracle of nature, and you will feel like you are born again;
  • indulge in the 120 hectares of nature and take advantage of all its therapeutic effects;
  • dive into the park's pools, feel the benefits of balneotherapy;
  • add a special pampering at the SPA, or treat yourself to an aperitif at the Bistro;
be captivated by the wild beauty of nature, explore the hills by bicycle or on horseback.

Day 5

Day 5

What's left of Tuscany

By now, you have Tuscany in the palm of your hand!
You've seen it all: sea, hills, spas, churches and museums.
You have tasted everything: Florentine steak, ribollita, pappardelle, panforte.
You have tried the amazing wines: Chianti Classico, Bolgheri DOC, raisin wine, vin santo.

Before heading back home, however, plan a stop in Val D'Orcia.

Montalcino and Montepulciano are the headliners: spend the morning walking around the streets of the center, visit the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta, be left speechless in front of the Abbey of Sant'Antimo.

Nearby are Pienza and Monticchiello, famous, respectively, for the renowned local pecorino cheese and for the breathtaking views made immortal by the blockbuster film "The Gladiator," which overlook the entire Val d'Orcia and its sun-drenched countryside.

Go along the legendary cypress-lined roads that have made the Val d'Orcia famous all over the world, fall in love with Tuscany!

They were super friendly from the beggining till the end.Just a feedback: Because it was a bit rainy and a bit muddy on the paths of the camping, could be a good idea if they add some gravel.Quiet place , beautiful place.Must visit from there San Gimignano

Amazing site in a fabulous location for exploring Tuscany

Amazing site in a fabulous location for exploring Tuscany. Florence, Siena, Pisa and San Gimignano, all within easy reach. And, when you return back to the site, lovely, friendly staff - I challenge you not to fall in love with Constanza! Great toilet, showers, washing facilities. Showers you can adjust the temperature as you choose, and a turn on tap! No push buttons here! A communal fridge and freezer at your disposal. And, a swimming pool with the best view of Tuscany you could hope for. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!
